The Mlambe Project is a grassroots international development NGO working to transform educational opportunities in Malawi.
Our approach is centred on sustainable, community-driven and innovative development with a distinct focus on working with Malawians to find endogenous solutions that can have large-scale impact. Through our sustainable infrastructure building programme, we have trained local communities to build high quality schools using alternative construction methods which are environmentally responsible and socially conscious. Our next Chief Executive will be fundamental to helping us deliver on our ambitious goals in Malawi.
This role is UK-based, primarily focusing on fundraising and operations management, with an accountable relationship for all work carried out in Malawi, by our local project partners. To be adept at this role, you will need to be a hands on manager, with a talent for building movements and initiatives, recruiting, motivating and managing volunteers, whilst demonstrating a strong track record of fundraising. As the only paid staff member in the UK, you will be proficient at building and managing resources to bring our vision to fruition. We are a small charity with big ambition, exceptional people, and a real drive to get behind the Chief Executive and support their work.
