Brighton, Brighton and Hove
Voluntary
Job description

Raising funds for the local group is essential to provide services, grants and activities for people affected by MS. Our Fundraising Volunteers plan and run events, develop links with local organisations and deliver awareness activities to promote the needs of people affected by MS.

We have a team of over 60 runners taking part in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 19th April, hoping to raise over £48,000 as a team. We need as many loud and enthusiastic cheerers as possible to cheer on our fantastic #MSSuperstar team!

Our cheer station will be situated in Brighton at approx mile 13. At this station we will get to see our MS runners pass us by! We will provide you with cheering material so you can make as much noise as possible when you see an MS Society runners! You can cheer all runners, just cheer extra loud for MS society runners. This gives an immense motivation to the runners so it’s vital to show how much we appreciate their efforts.

We would need cheerers at the cheer point from 11am to 2:30pm, however we are flexible around your availability and you can attend for as little or as long as you like during the day. Light refreshments will also be provided to ensure your cheering levels are kept high!
