Job description

We are seeking a Community Engagement Lead to join a small, dynamic team by supporting our vision: To be known and respected by everyone living or working within reach of our services who may become affected by cancer. You will support the Information and Support Services Manager in raising the Mulberry Centre’s profile through community engagement and raising awareness about the signs and symptoms of different types of cancer and ways in which people can adopt preventive measures. 

The Community Engagement Lead will deliver a targeted information community engagement service in Hounslow and Richmond, and surrounding boroughs. They will develop user engagement within the Centre and in the local community. Part of the role will require you to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. The Community Engagement Lead will look at ways to increase the footfall in the Centre through community engagement and with hard to reach groups such as men and minority and vulnerable groups. 

This vital role will suit an enthusiastic and dynamic person who has excellent communication skills. 

The ideal applicant will have the ability to work with people and have experience in presenting to individuals and groups of people and organise a wide range of community engagement events. You will need to be compassionate and empathetic individual striving to make a difference to people affected by cancer. The Community Engagement Lead will be at the forefront of our client-based services and need to be self-motivated and have a positive and flexible attitude.
