We are seeking a Mulberry Macmillan Volunteer Lead to join our small, dynamic team. The Volunteer Lead will be responsible for various aspects of volunteering at The Mulberry Centre, including the recruitment, induction, support and training of admin and welcome volunteers. The Volunteer Lead will match the skills and availability of volunteers to the roles available and to support and monitor the impact of volunteering on the Centre’s activities so we can evidence how volunteering within our Centre enriches volunteers’ lives.
Part of the role will require you to provide excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders, from people enquiring about volunteering roles to colleagues in every area of the organisation. You will support and advise the team on volunteering related matters and be comfortable challenging the current situation to always deliver maximum impact in all that you do.
This vital role will suit someone who is passionate about volunteering to join our dynamic, ambitious team. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a positive and flexible approach. You will be working collaboratively with the staff team across the organisation to further develop our volunteering programme. The ideal applicant will be a people-person and be a well organised professional. You will need to be compassionate and empathetic individual striving to make a difference to people affected by cancer. The Volunteer Lead will be at the forefront of our volunteers and need to be self-motivated and have a positive and flexible attitude.
