Tetbury, Gloucestershire
£30,000 per year pro rata
Permanent, Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
Job description

We are looking for a new member to join our small dynamic team to help us to develop our Organisational Grants Programme.

Ideally, you will have a background in fundraising, business development or with another grant maker and would relish the opportunity to put your mark on a trust-based grants programme to make a real and lasting difference to people living in poverty in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bristol.

The National Benevolent Charity has been supporting people and families on low incomes throughout the UK for over 200 years through the provision of annuities, grants and household goods and is part of a national network of benevolence charities which operate throughout the UK. In recent years our strategy has been to phase out annuities and to offer one off grants or household goods to our beneficiaries and to work more closely with referrers and agencies, within clearly defined criteria. And we responded to the Covid Crisis by offering Emergency Funds. More recently we have begun to make grant awards to organisations which deliver programmes and projects specifically aimed at helping families living in poverty such as Fare Share South West, Gloucester Food Bank and Caring in Bristol amongst others. But there is scope to do much more.

So, if you want to join an ambitious team, working closely with trustees, believe you have the necessary skills and experience and want to make a difference we would be very pleased to hear from you.

Please apply with CV and a covering letter (2 sides A4 max) with details of why you fit the job description.
