Job description

To help drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Queen Square, we are looking to appoint a Digital Transformation Lead. This newly created position within the senior management team will play a key strategic role in transforming our digital capabilities and increasing our digital presence. We are looking specifically for candidates who can lead on the following areas: 

· Development and implementation of an innovative digital strategy, raising awareness of the charity and generating income 

· Embed a digital-first culture, managing change with and upskilling key stakeholders 

· Measure and continuously optimise performance 

· Horizon scanning within the evolving digital environment, spotting opportunities for income generation

We are looking for an established and innovative marketing professional with a broad range of digital skills and expertise and a passion for developing and delivering powerful social media campaigns and strategies to engage and excite our key audiences, while making the best use of technology to increase our efficiency. 

The main purpose of this role is to design, implement and maintain The National Brain Appeal’s first digital engagement strategy to help support and deliver the organisation’s strategy in a time of growth, raising awareness of our brand and the work of the charity with internal and external audiences which include patients of The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, people with neurological conditions and their families and friends, clinical staff in the field, research professionals. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering and driving compelling and engaging digital solutions across all digital channels. You will be capable and excited to use your technical expertise to support the team through the process of creating new digital products and services and to support them in developing their own digital skills. You will have a good track record and knowledge of monitoring and evaluating digital activity to enable informed decision-making - ensuring all work undertaken is data-driven and evidence-based - and that engagement levels are consistently reviewed and improved. 

This role requires a proactive, organised, and practical approach to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, providing high quality support and customer service across the organisation. An ability to work unsupervised and problem-solving skills are also critical to this role. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing the expectations of a number of stakeholders with competing priorities.
