Job description

Braunton Burrows is at the core of the UNESCO North Devon Biosphere Reserve and is the second largest sand dune system in the UK. It is home to more than 470 species of flowering plants, 33 species of butterfly and an abundance of other wildlife.  As well as its wealth of natural history, the Burrows also has an fascinating military history and is still used for MOD training exercises today.

Over the years extensive information on the site has been archived. We are now looking to retrieve specific information from these records to be used for current and future conservation management and educational material.

We are seeking home based volunteers with an eye for detail who would enjoy delving into the archives of the site to uncover previously unknown facts & stories about the locations history.

We are looking for the type of person who enjoys research, has an inquisitive mind and are self motivated.

If you enjoy looking for facts and are keen to discover the bigger picture via the detail. Be involved in supporting an exciting new Dynamic Dunescapes project and unearth new avenues of knowledge about Braunton Burrows past to both staff & visitors then we would love to hear from you.
