Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and talented performing arts manager with great leadership skills to be the new General Manager of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

The Band comprises two of the finest youth and children’s brass bands in the UK and gives exceptionally gifted young players the opportunity to perform advanced music and receive the highest quality teaching and care, helping to provide the brass band movement and the music profession with their next generation of leaders.

The primary purpose of the role, reporting to the Chairman, is to direct the Band’s management team and provide strategic leadership over all the activities of the Band. This position is key to ensuring that the the NYBB runs smoothly so that we meet the goals of our strategic plan.

Please note face to face interviews for shortlisted applicants will be held on the 8th or 9th of April at Taunton School, Somerset, where the Youth Band will be holding its Easter Course.
