ReAct Producer/ Project Manager

Job Description

Thank you for your interest in the Octagon Theatre Bolton and the role of ReAct Producer.

Connecting with people through theatre is at the heart of our organisation. From our thriving youth theatre to our commitment to refugees and asylum seekers as a “Theatre of Sanctuary”, we strive to make the Octagon a theatre for everyone in Bolton to enjoy.

This is an exciting new role funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to grow engagement opportunities with older people in Bolton, with the aim of reducing loneliness. With our Head of Creative Engagement, you will develop new activities and ways of working with older people ahead of our move into our new theatre.

You will be confident in working with older people with a collaborative approach to your work and passionate about developing projects with communities. You will have good project management skills, confident managing budgets and have a good eye for detail. Importantly you will share our commitment to excellence, diversity and inclusion in the arts.

With our new Artistic Director in post and our £10m capital project due to complete in 2020, this is an exciting time to join us and to support the Octagon to make an even bigger difference to Bolton.
