Job description

The Passage provides a range of support services to homeless and vulnerable people in London. Our mission is to provide resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives.

Outreach Worker – Community Intervention Team

Fixed Term until March 2020

35 hours per week excluding breaks

We are currently seeking an Outreach Worker to join our Community Intervention team. They will help eliminate rough sleeping and associated street activity in the immediate vicinity of the Passage Resource Centre by engaging with and providing advice, support and assistance to enable rough sleepers to access accommodation and other services relevant to their needs.

The Outreach Worker will engage with and gather intelligence around clients bedding down and/or involved in street activity within Victoria and to take a multi-agency problem solving approach, working in collaboration in regard to street counts, case conferences and joint work with other agencies involved with the client.

The successful candidate would have in depth experience of working with homeless and vulnerable people either through paid or voluntary capacity and an understanding of the support needs of the street populations with complex health, and housing needs.

The successful candidate will have to complete an Enhanced DBS application as part of the recruitment process.
