If you’re proactive, self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit, along with exceptional relationship building skills and a track record of success, this is a wonderful opportunity to truly make your mark and change lives, by joining The Photography Foundation as our first Fundraising Manager. 

We are looking for a very special person to enable our charity to grow and change the lives of young adults who have dreams of using their creative talents to build a career.

The Photography Foundation was founded in 2019 with the mission to create pathways to professional photography for less advantaged and under-represented young adults in London, empowering them to launch a career in the creative industries.

For many young adults, a lack of financial resources, opportunities or industry connections mean that a career in photography is out of reach. We believe that talent and motivation should be more important than who you know or where you come from, and it's our mission to make this a reality.

Focusing on the cultivation, development and stewardship of major donors, corporates and trusts, you will raise the funds needed for us to expand our programmes and support more young adults. We envisage that when the environment allows you will also bring high profile events into our strategy.

Using your strong creative writing abilities and excellent communication skills you will connect emotionally with potential donors, creating and delivering presentations, proposals, case studies and applications.

You will have proven experience of developing long term income generating relationships with senior level corporate contacts, high net worth individuals, trustees of foundations, and high profile volunteers. Your understanding of the importance of stewardship as the key to developing these relationships will be integral to your success and ours.

We are an informal, very friendly, passionate and sociable team based in the heart of Shoreditch with wonderful office and studio facilities. You will have the flexibility to determine your full working pattern and location, although one day a week will need to be office-based.

The Photography Foundation is supported and funded by its sister organisation, a social enterprise called Storytellers London.
