Permanent – Communications Manager (Young Ambassadors)

Youth charity The Prince's Trust enables young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to live, learn and earn. Our job is to inspire, support and encourage young people to reach their full potential, and to work with colleagues across the UK to realise The Trust’s bold ambition to transform a million more young lives over the next ten years.
Some of the most inspiring advocates of our work are young people themselves, which is why we encourage a number of those we support to become Young Ambassadors for The Trust. Our Young Ambassador programme is a personal development programme for a select group of young people who have all been supported by The Trust and are now in a successful outcome. These young people receive support and training in how to share their inspiring stories with others before volunteering some of their time to help us raise awareness what we do. They bring people closer to The Trust by talking about their experiences and demonstrating the impact of our work, ultimately helping us to motivate our audiences so that we can provide support for more young people.
As Communications Manager (Young Ambassadors), you will work in partnership with a network of colleagues who look after our Young Ambassadors in our regions and countries, as well as triage requests for Young Ambassadors which come from our national team. You will develop our UK-wide engagement strategy and take responsibility for the development of our Amplified initiative, which is our “always on” content campaign by young people, for young people.
Reporting into our Head of Communications, the newly created role is based in London but will work with colleagues across the UK.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative communicator who has the ability to inspire confidence and engagement in a range of audiences, as well as to manage multiple projects and stakeholders comfortably. Your excellent collaboration skills and ability to develop strong working relationships, combined with your experience in delivering high impact communications campaigns, will make you an ideal candidate for this role.
