The Prince's Trust is a youth charity whose mission is to help young people transform their lives by developing the confidence and skills, to live, learn and earn. This year we will support more than 70,000 young people through a range of proven programmes, with three in four achieving a positive outcome.

We have a bold ambition to extend the reach and impact of our work and help one million more young people transform their lives over the next ten years.  Our job is to inspire them, support them and release their potential, so that they can thrive and society can prosper.  We will focus on innovation, to ensure we adapt and remain relevant in a rapidly changing world.  We owe it to ourselves and the young people we serve, to do the best work of our lives and to help give them an increasing stake in our economy and society. They are the key to a positive and prosperous future for all of us.

In this exciting and varied role, you will be part of the core team driving forward the corporate new business strategy across the North West with particular focus on Greater Manchester. In September 2019 we will be launching a pioneering new campaign for Greater Manchester which will see the team responsible for delivering GBP 2m+ of match funding over a two year period. You will be responsible for the acquisition of new partnerships with a personal focus on the large scale, strategic opportunities.

You will utilise the skills and influence of Prince's Trust Senior Stakeholder Groups alongside targeted prospecting techniques. You will have an income target of GBP 350k+ and you will work closely with the Head of Business Development and the Senior Head of Business Development to create and implement your strategy.

Your direct line report will be the Business Development Executive who you will develop a mid-level giving strategy with and support them to deliver against it.

You will need excellent relationship management skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels within potential corporate partners as well as within The Prince's Trust.  You will be organised and a strong project manager, confident in solving problems and securing financial targets and take a creative approach where needed.

You will have a proven track record of securing major new charity partnerships and an understanding of both the corporate responsibility agenda and how to develop strategic partnerships that deliver against business objectives. You will have excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
