Job description

Fixed Term 12 months - Any Trust Office. Full time- 35 hours a week

Joining a growing development team, reporting to the Senior Head of Digital Technology, the Senior Developer will play a vital role in building our innovative digital products. Working closely with the Innovation team, testers and product owners,the Senior Developer will ensure that both his own code and the code of their developers is of high quality and fit-for purpose.

 

The core aim of the Digital Products team is to provide users internal and external to the Trust with the software they need to work as effectively as possible.Improving user satisfaction and reliability of our software is critical if we are to achieve the objectives of the Trust. The Senior Developer will work to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

 

The digital teams appreciate the value of Agile product delivery and the Senior Developer should be comfortable in this environment while providing coaching and guidance to members of their team. In practice, this means building products, working closely with other members of the digital products team, solving problems, peer reviewing code and writing unit tests where required.

 

A degree in computer science or other related field coupled with proven experience of working in similar digital product environments. A good working knowledge of HTML/CSS JavaScript (jQuery) Ajax and LAMP stack.
