Job description

The Delivery Partnerships and Volunteering Team for Wales are looking for an organised and enthusiastic candidate to become our new Youth Development Lead. This is a home-based role based in the West Wales region with occasional travel to our Head Office in Cardiff. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to Delivery Partner sites across Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. You will need to have a valid UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle as some of the areas you will travel to have limited public transport facilities.

As a Youth Development Lead, you will work universally across all thematic areas, but with a particular focus on Achieve, our Education Programme.

Relationship management is integral to this role to indirectly manage the educational offer provided by the Trust, working alongside the Achieve team to provide quality support to delivery partners and volunteers in schools, colleges and other centres. You will be a dynamic team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work to bring new partners on board whilst supporting existing partners to effectively deliver the Achieve Programme to young people (11-19) in centres across Wales. Face to face delivery with young people may be occasionally required. The role is suited to you if you enjoy working with people and building strong relationships with delivery partners.

Volunteers are very important to us and in this role you may be responsible for aspects of volunteer support as required. Holding a firm understanding of Prince’s Trust programmes, you will contribute to the provision of volunteers according to service delivery needs.

As a Youth Development Lead, you will engage and build quality relationships with young people, volunteers and partners and as an effective communicator and collaborator, you will thrive in both team and independent work. If you believe you have the passion and skills to help young people change their lives, then we would love to hear from you!
