We’re excited to be recruiting across the Middlesbrough area for someone who is passionate about working with and helping Middlesbrough's young people improve their lives.
It's a unique time at the moment but our commitment to our young people is as strong as it’s ever been, we want to keep providing support to young people face to face, however, we’ve developed new ways of working to enable all young people with access to our services including a blended approach to virtual and face to face programme delivery.
As a Youth Development Lead, you’ll engage and build quality relationships with young people, volunteers, and partners and as an effective communicator and collaborator, you will thrive in both team and independent work. If you believe you have the passion and skills to help young people change their lives, then we would love to hear from you! Recent times have changed ways of working, so we are always looking to build key partnerships and develop new and innovative ways of working.
Our Youth Development Leads work with young people from every background, so we’re passionate about building a diverse workforce that represents the young people we support. We, therefore, welcome applications from everyone who meets the essential criteria for the role. If you’re not sure if you do, please feel free to apply as you’ll have the chance to fill in a supporting statement and let us know what you would bring to the table and if you have lived experience that will help Middlesbrough's Young People.
Upon joining the Trust, you’ll have the opportunity to join and be supported by our 4 main networks. PT CAN (Our Cultural Awareness Network), PT GEN (Our Gender Equality Network), PT Pulse (Our LGBTQ+ network) and our newest, PT DAWN (Our Disability and Wellness Network). We want to work with people who think they can make a difference in Young People’s lives!
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to engage in challenges with optimism and resilience and be adaptive and flexible – embracing change and innovation. You must be comfortable both working virtually and delivering programmes on virtual platforms as well as face-to-face.
This is an Outreach role which will require you to build and maintain relationships with referral agencies and partners, as well as work 1:1 with young people looking to engage with The Prince’s Trust. The successful candidate will have experience in at least one of the following:
- Social and personal development
