Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Fundraising Development Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team at the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth Textile Collections (Gawthorpe Textiles Collection). We are an educational charity and accredited museum caring for a collection of over 30,000 global textile and craft items which we make available to the public through study, exhibition, outreach, workshops and events both online and face to face. In this exciting role you will contribute to our important work by supporting fundraising development particularly in the area of individual giving, researching prospects, managing data, administering entry-level donor schemes, and running fundraising events.

Key responsibilities will include:

Individual Giving: Helping to establish and administer new Benefactor and individual giving schemes.

Data Management and Research: Helping to build a database of contacts, prospect research, updating donors and stakeholders on activity and news.

Events Management: Leading on the fundraising events programme, contributing new ideas and planning the year ahead, managing event logistics, advocating on behalf of GTC.

Grant and Project Funding: Supporting the Director in producing pitches, proposals and reports, attending meetings with funders, researching and implementing fundraising through digital platforms.
