How to apply
Help us recognise and reward innovation in international engineering.
Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.
The Academy is advertising two vacancies for Team Assistant roles within our Sustainable Development and International Partnerships teams.
You will provide administrative support and coordination for the delivery of the Academy’s Sustainable Development or International Partnerships activities, under the guidance of the Head of Sustainable Development and the relevant steering groups.
With a particular focus on efficient and effective use of resources, you will assist the Head of Sustainable Development or the Head of International Partnerships in coordinating the Academy’s programme of activities. This will involve providing admin support to individual programme schemes when required, and to act as the international/team coordination point for the use of administrative resources (and for international travel).
You will work closely with the Head of Sustainable Development and other colleagues to promote and communicate the Academy’s international and research activities, e.g. through the organisation of events and production of case studies, etc. This is not solely an office-based role as some international travel is required.
You will bring outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills, a high standard of computer literacy and proven ability to operate effectively against strict deadlines. You will be very interested in international development or activities, determined to exceed our expectations in everything you do – and ready to make your mark from your first day.
In return, we offer an unrivalled package of benefits including a non-contributory pension scheme, BUPA cash plan, private medical insurance, subsidised restaurant, regular social activities, health and wellbeing programmes and the possibility of flexible working, as well as significant investment into your personal and professional development.

Closing date: Midday on Thursday, 4 July 2019.
Interview dates: 15 and 16 July 2019.
The Team Assistant vacancy in the Sustainable Development team is a permanent role, while the vacancy in the International Partnerships team is fixed term for five months. Please indicate on your supporting statement which role you are applying for or if you would like to be considered for both.
