The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Cheshire & Merseyside Area Team as a Case Officer on a part time basis (we require someone who is able to work full days on both Monday and Friday with a flexible approach across the remaining 11 hours).

As a Case Officer, you will work with individuals eligible for Legion assistance to help them to access the right support in a timely and seamless way in areas such as finance, employment, health, housing advice or overcoming temporary crisis. You will also support the work of our volunteer caseworkers.

A self-starter, confident working independently and within a great team, you will be responsible for forging successful relationships with statutory bodies and other agencies to maximise our reach and impact. An experienced and customer focused case manager, assured in advocating on behalf of clients, you will have a good understanding of the Social Welfare system and be used to working across multiple agencies. You’ll also need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.

Although predominantly home based due to Covid-19 currently, this role will involve significant travel throughout the area so a Driving license and use of a car would be desirable.
