About The Royal British Legion

Careers in Marketing and Remembrance

Across the country, in every city and on every street, the Legion is there to support our Armed Forces community. As the largest charity of our kind, we have 180,000 members, 60,000 volunteers and a network of partners all helping us give support wherever and whenever it's needed.

Our Marketing and Remembrance teams ensure that the Legion’s key messages are delivered and understood by people across the nation. Not just by those we are here to support, but by everyone in this country who owe a debt of gratitude to all who have served. It's this mission, this scale, this challenge and the values we all live by, that makes the Legion such a fulfilling place to thrive.

Whether it’s through our One Legion Brand, press and television coverage, or integrated digital campaigns, as a member of our Marketing and Remembrance teams, you’d help ensure the unique contribution of the Armed Forces community is never forgotten. While inspiring people to engage with the Legion and make an impact for good.

This team is made up of people with a broad range of skills from an even broader range of sectors. If you were to join, together you’d implement the brand and marketing strategy, and deliver events like the Festival of Remembrance.

So, whatever your talents and expertise, if you want to give your days meaning. To put your passion into a role with real impact. To support people and be supported yourself. In an inclusive team that faces every challenge together. We think you’ll find a role here that works for you.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Events Officer to join our Events team based at our Head Office in London.

You will be responsible for events with the Commemorative Events team calendar and along with the Commemorative Events team, will be planning and coordinating all aspects of the event up until delivery. The role may also require you to work unsocial hours from time to time on the events themselves.

Ideally, you will have gained previous experience of working within an Event Officer role, preferably within a Charity, PR or Events Department. The ideal candidate will have proven IT skills including knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Word and a Full UK driving licence.

Please note this role is based at our London office which is located in SE1 1AA.

As an inclusive employer, we welcome conversations on flexible working and any reasonable adjustments that may be required.

Diversity Statement

We believe that the compassion, understanding and service we show each, and every individual customer should be reflected in the way we all support, respect and include every individual who works with us.

It’s because of this that we have strived hard to create a One Legion culture that we can all feel part of and succeed in. It’s why we make sure that you have the opportunities you need to learn and develop. It’s why we’re invested in making RBL a truly inclusive place to work, where everyone can be themselves. It’s why you’re welcome, whoever you might be.

It’s why we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
