A core part of our role is influencing the national mental health strategy and campaigning to improve the lives of people with mental illness. We pride ourselves on ensuring this work has influence and is based on high quality research and policy analysis, and proactive stakeholder engagement.
We have the following vacancies in the Policy and Campaigns team.
The successful candidates will be passionate about achieving change and have experience of proactively identifying policy challenges and developing solutions to them. In doing so, you will need to be able to work with and utilise the expertise and experience of College representatives.
Policy and Campaigns Manager
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can use their excellent research, analytical and policy development skills to design and deliver evidence-based and solution focused public-facing campaigns. Working with the College Officers, leads, committees and the Training and Workforce team, you will drive forward our work developing actionable policy solutions and campaigning activities on workforce and parity, particularly in relation to delivering the mental health commitments in the NHS Long Term Plan. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the College's influence. You will also need excellent planning and project skills, and enjoy working collaboratively.
Policy Analyst and Commentary Manager
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can combine excellent research, analytical and policy development skills with the ability to communicate the College's views on a wide range of complex policy areas. Working with the College Officers, leads, committees, you will develop, influence and deliver the College's policy agenda in areas such as mental health legislation and delivery of the national mental health strategy. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the College's influence. You will also be responsible for developing regular commentary pieces and ensuring policy-communications are evidence-based and balanced.
The post-holders for these roles will sit within the Policy and Campaigns team and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of passionate staff and members on core College strategic priorities. These roles do not have line management responsibility.
