Job description

Policy Engagement Manager
£41,650 - £46,130 per annum
Permanent Contract
35 hours per week

The Royal College of Psychiatrists is launching an engagement network to improve how we work with and support our members locally on policy development and implementation.

This new role of Policy Engagement Manager will play a vital part in establishing the Network, as well as providing ongoing operational and strategic management. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can devise, implement and evaluate a local engagement strategy, and who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the influence of the network.

The successful candidate will be passionate about achieving change and have experience of linking the national policy agenda with local implementation. In doing so, you will need to be able to work with and utilise the expertise and experience of College representatives and grassroot members to improve the care of people with mental illness.

Working with other members of the Policy and Campaigns team and wider College you will identify and seize opportunities to promote and develop College policy, particularly in relation to delivering the mental health commitments in the NHS Long Term Plan. You will need excellent planning and project skills, and enjoy working across a range of policy areas.

The post-holder will sit within the Policy and Campaigns team and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of passionate staff and members on this important initiative.

We only recruit the best and in return for your commitment the College offers an attractive salary and benefits.
