The RCR is a great place to work, with an ambitious agenda. At the forefront of the health agenda, our members diagnose and treat cancer, heart disease, stroke and more, while leading on innovations including AI, skills mix and community diagnostic hubs. As COVID-19 recedes and the cancer backlog rises up the agenda, our members’ work and views have never been more important.
We are looking to recruit a Governance Manager to lead our governance work across the RCR. The Governance Manager is at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the President, CEO and wider Officer team to ensure the smooth running of the College. The successful applicant will be the central figure for all aspects of governance and GDPR, creating policies, running elections, making decisions and ensuring correct processes are followed. Your experience and expertise will be regularly called on to ensure the governance of the RCR is first class. You’ll be one of the main people connecting the staff to the elected doctors and vice versa.
This is a cross-organisational role, working with a wide range of people, getting involved in projects from a governance angle where needed and leading or co-leading on other cross-College projects with a strong governance or GDPR element.
You’ll lead the Governance Team, developing and managing staff, and ensuring the whole team is motivated and delivering a brilliant service. As the head of a team you’ll also be part of the management of the College, regularly joining other managers to discuss organisational wide issues.
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of governance in a membership or not-for-profit setting to come and join us in the Governance Manager role. To be successful you will have experience of leading a team, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders in governance related topics. You will have a great eye for detail and a clear writing style, able to get messages across in a formal but unfussy way.
If this sounds like the opportunity for you please find out more about the Governance Manager role, the RCR and instructions on how to apply by visiting the RCR website.
