As a membership organisation, the Membership Operations team is central to all our activities, and that’s where the role of Membership Events Coordinator sits, nestled within the wider Communications Directorate. The Membership Operations team covers two main areas of work; the delivery of engagement events for members, namely our Admission Ceremonies, Regional Visits and Senior Fellows Forum; and the servicing of our membership including the management of the renewal process, the upkeep of records within our CRM and responding to general queries. The Membership Events Coordinator is responsible for the former area of work.

The Membership Events Co-Ordinator will lead and deliver our reputable membership engagement events for our members and stakeholders. Using communication skills and strong working relationships you will be able to plan and create outstanding and memorable high impact events for doctors at various stages of their careers.  Strong organisational skills are key to allow you to coordinate a number of important high profile events annually.

Internally, the successful candidate will report to the Membership Operations Manager and work alongside the Membership Operations team, Examinations and Finance Team. The Membership Events Co-ordinator will also be responsible for providing information, guidance and support to the President, Chief Executive and Senior Managers,where the events are concerned, and will need to be an approachable and effective communicator to deliver this work effectively. 

You will be a fast thinker and proactive problem solver, constantly looking for an opportunities to deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll be passionate about our cause and have excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of event delivery, planning and administration, ideally with some knowledge of membership processes.
