Job description

In line with our recent successes in adapting our business model, we have identified the potential for further expansion. In this newly developed role, the successful candidate will be collaborating across the Ri to maximise our income-generating potential, working in partnership in:

  • Identifying the most appropriate prospects to target and the most suitable way of positioning Ri programmes to deliver long term and sustainable growth
  • Developing international partnerships and sales
  • Reviewing our approach to licencing and publishing
  • Developing new revenue-generating customer propositions, including merchandise

To fully explore the income potential from commercial activity, the successful applicant will need to develop relationships across the Ri teams, including fundraising, digital, marketing, finance and programmes. They will be working as a business development partner with our small but committed team to realise our ambitions and deliver sustainable business growth.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have experience of working at a similar level, with a track record of success, ideally with a combination of not-for-profit and commercial expertise, and you will be:

  • Confident across the range of development activities from the identification of growth areas, business planning through to implementation
  • Experienced in asset licensing, ideally in a charity or not for profit
  • Able to lead pitches, securing business from a variety of potential customers on a national and global scale
  • A natural collaborator with strong interpersonal skills who can work at all levels
  • Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful with a pragmatic, solution focussed approach
