The Ri is an independent charity and home of the Faraday Museum. Our purpose is to create opportunities for as many people as possible to think more deeply about science and its place in our lives. We’ve been doing this for well over 200 years and  it’s more important today than ever.

To support our strategy and vision, our award-winning digital team is growing. Over the next year we will be redeveloping our website, strengthening our online brand and taking our YouTube and social media channels up to the next level.

To help us achieve these ambitious plans, we’re now looking for a Digital Content Manager with a passion for words and a love of culture and heritage, who has strong experience of writing and editing audience-focused content and a good understanding of content design and user experience.

The Ri's new website is due to launch early 2022 and this role will work with our Digital Project Manager to lead on content production and migration and with our Head of Digital on content strategy.

Do you have:

  • Experience of using a variety of web content management systems, basic knowledge of HTML and experience of using Google Analytics?

  • Experience of managing a network of content creators distributed across an organisation?

  • Experience of writing, editing and publishing content for public-facing websites and creating content that is both audience-focused and optimised for search engines?

  • A strong understanding of web accessibility standards and best practice and working with brand and tone-of-voice guidelines?

  • Experience of project management?

If so, we’d love to hear from you!
