Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract, full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: c.£35,000 per annum
The Ri is an independent charity dedicated to creating opportunities for everyone to think more deeply about science and its place in our lives.
For over 200 years, our building has been home to some of the most eminent scientists in history, and we are hosting more public events than ever before. Moreover, our award-winning Digital Team is growing.
To support our growth, we now have a great opportunity for an experienced Social Media Manager to develop our social media strategy and manage our social media channels and communities. As successful applicant, you will be managing our sector-leading YouTube channel which has over 600,000 subscribers, and is growing fast.
This role is a perfect opportunity to bring together your love of all things social media with analytical skills and strategic thinking, working with colleagues across the Ri to help take our YouTube and social media channels to the next level.
Do you have:
• experience of creating engaging, audience-focused content for different social media platforms?
• a deep understanding of the social media landscape and a passion for keeping up-to-date with the latest online memes, trends and opportunities?
• experience of creating and managing successful social media campaigns and increasing engagement with key audience groups?
• experience in managing online communities?
