We are looking for a Service Manager to lead a new staff team in Bristol. You will manage our response to people who have experienced homelessness and rough sleeping through the COVID 19 crisis and beyond. This is a floating support service delivering a resettlement service for low support clients.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, committed and dynamic manager to establish and develop a new service based in Bristol. You will have a collaborative and flexible approach to developing your team. You and your team will be supporting people who have been housed temporarily as a response to COVID 19 providing support to facilitate positive moves into appropriate housing. We are looking for an experienced professional to take a lead role in establishing a trauma and psychologically informed service, working in partnership with established agencies within Bristol.
This role is vital to the success of the project, providing leadership and inspiration to the staff. You will be responsible for managing a staff team delivering an excellent floating support service that is evidenced by data. The role requires liaison with the Local Authority Commissioners and pathway co-ordinators as well as other agencies. The successful candidate will be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army and will be responsible for all aspects of the programme including the spiritual ministry.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- NVQ4 or equivalent in a related field or a willingness to work towards
- Proven experience of managing teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety
- Knowledge of the private rent sector
- Understanding of funding in supported housing
- The ability to build and maintain positive partnerships
- Ability to achieve targets.
