Job Title: Learning and Development Manager
Salary: £50,000 per annum Band G, Level 3 (Inclusive of Market Supplement and Outer London Weighting)
Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (with Hybrid working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 35

About The Role:
The role takes the lead for the Scouts in ensuring that its employees are provided with the learning and development that they need to meet the organisation’s vision and key strategic and operational objectives. The key areas of activity are to develop processes and mechanisms for identifying training and development needs, designing solutions to meet those needs and delivering high quality interventions which support the work of the organisation and its employees.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications needed as our Learning and Development Manager
- Significant experience in learning and development for an organisation
- Experience of undertaking learning needs analyses and designing programmes of learning to meet them
- Experience of leadership and management development and frameworks
- Experience of delivering training using a range of different approaches
- Experience of designing and evaluating training
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of how people learn
- Good working knowledge of learning and development processes
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Understanding of how to assess Return on Investment and/or Return on Expectation in L&D
