The Sixteen is recruiting three new trustees and has identified three areas in particular in addition to the normal skills, attributes and experience expected of trustees of a progressive charity, with individuals who have experience of one of the following:
- Making connections and introductions to corporates and/or high net-worth individuals, with a commitment to support and help lead the Charity’s efforts in sourcing and maintaining high-value individual and corporate donations
- PR/Media/Digital, with experience, ideas and/or connections to help steer The Sixteen to a wider reach beyond the niche classical sector
- Outreach/audience development in a larger arts organisation to help steer The Sixteen as it further develops this critical area of activity
The Board holds meetings four times per year, one of which includes the AGM. Importantly, trustees should be prepared to support the Charity at informal fundraising and other functions as part of their ambassadorial role. Trustees are also encouraged to attend events and concerts by The Sixteen.
