Job description

The organisation:

This organisation is a very well-known humanitarian charity looking for a Marketing and Digital Consultant to join them for 6 months. You will implement cross channel, integrated, digital first marketing campaigns across the organisation, managing a directorate of 15, including 5 direct reports. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to tell the organisation’s epic story.

You will be joining at a time of significant change in the organisation’s history, as they review their strategy to ensure they can deliver on their ambitious 10 year plan so experience of managing and delivering change is essential in this position. Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the marketing directorate to implement a strategic marketing communications plan that ensures organisational priorities are at the forefront of activities
  • Lead on the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, with a particular emphasis on digital channels
  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation, including fundraising, to deliver integrated campaigns that drive donor engagement and offer opportunities for fundraising teams to drive donation conversion
  • Strategically direct volunteer recruitment campaigns
  • Lead a digital matrix management hub and spoke system and have overall oversight of digital marketing campaigns across the organisation
  • Seek out opportunities to maximise the potential of paid, owned and earned media
  • Support the wider organisational digital transformation
  • Directly line manage 5 and oversee a wider team of 15
  • Champion collaborative working within the directorate
  • Oversight of reporting and analytics to ensure opportunities for continuous improvement are identified and actioned
  • Manage the marketing budget of c.£1M

 

Person specification:

  • Experience leading teams through periods of change
  • Proven ability to manage a large marketing budget and direct mass audience reach advertising and integrated campaigns across both online and offline marketing channels
  • A sound knowledge of digital marketing and evaluation metrics and reporting
  • Previous line management experience and a proven ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience within a senior role, managing cross channel marketing campaigns with a particular emphasis on digital
  • Extensive experience utilising audience insights to develop campaign plans
  • Budget management experience

 

What's on offer:

This role is offering a salary of £80,000 pro rata for this 6 month contract. The role will be hybrid between home and their office in Central London.
