The role

The Marketing Assistant role will be responsible for supporting B2B & B2C marketing activities for the Vegan Trademark and VEG 1. This includes a mix of online advertising activities, content creation & moderation for our social media channels, attending events, talking with Trademark holders, and general support to driving business growth.

This role requires a candidate with experience in marketing, graphic, and content design. The position is suitable for someone with 1+ year of Marketing or Design experience, as well as other essential criteria listed below.

 

As Marketing Assistant you will:

  • Develop marketing materials as needed to support the Senior B2B Marketing Officer and B2B Marketing Officer.
  • Create content for a variety of channels.
  • Assist the B2B Marketing Officer with social media platform growth.
  • Support with Vegan Trademark B2B social media channels with moderation.
  • Assist in the collation and design of newsletter-style updates to Trademark holders and VEG1 wholesalers.
  • Support the Senior B2B Marketing Officer with material creation for international development
  • Collaborate with the Senior B2B Marketing Officer to deliver Trademark holder support from a variety of countries.
  • Monitor various inbox’s relating to marketing, responding to requests and enquires efficiently.
  • Maintain awareness days tracker and work alongside the Brand Marketing Officers to deliver engaging content at relevant times.
  • Document the Trademark B2C activity and communications in our CRM.
  • Support the VEG 1 Marketing Officer on projects such as product launches.
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Officer to support with Trademark and VEG1 events or contributions to The Vegan Society events and tradeshows.
  • Attend trade and consumer shows as required

 

To be considered as our Marketing Assistant you must have:

  • Relevant Business/Marketing qualification or 1-year equivalent work experience in a marketing or design role.
  • Proficiency in the Abode editing suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, to create artwork for print and online
  • Experience of delivering marketing activities for sales teams for UK and international markets.
  • Experience creating content and scheduling for social media.
  • Excellent written, verbal and numerical skills including writing for various audiences and following tone of voice guidelines
  • Good knowledge of the wider vegan movement and issues relating to veganism
  • Understanding of a variety of marketing functions: social media, PR, sales, corporate identity, positioning and branding.
  • Good understanding of the importance of customer service and proven experience of delivering effective customer service.
  • Understanding of B2B & B2C customer needs.

Additional information

This is full time role (37.5 hours per week) role with a salary of £22,074 - £24,372 per annum

This is a predominantly home-based position, but the successful candidate must be willing to travel to our head office in Birmingham when required.
