Job description
This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

Are you an experienced youth work leader, with a passion for authentic participation and a deep commitment to securing social justice? Could you work alongside young people to shape, develop and mobilise our youth offer?

We're committed to building long standing relationships of trust with and between young people; creating spaces that foster inclusion, equity and belonging; opening up opportunities to exercise individual and collective agency. We back youth-led social action, championing participatory approaches; including youth organising, peer-to-peer provision and participatory action research. Our approach is focussed on young people's strengths and assets, rooted in our sense of place, and aimed at systemic change.

We are offering the chance to lead and deliver change at the Winch. With a strong, creative and talented team to work with, a new strategy to influence and a new-build youth and community facility in the pipeline, this could be a career changing move for the right person.

Please note: Black and Racially Minoritised people, particularly those identifying as women, are historically under-represented in senior management positions in youth work. We actively encourage you to consider applying, if you are qualified by experience. We have designed this role to be supported by a transitional structure and will offer personalised coaching/external supervision or mentoring support, to give you the time to orientate to the role.

Application Instructions

Apply with CV (3 pages max) and covering letter (2 pages A4 Font 12), outlining how you meet the person specification.
If you do not include a covering letter, we reserve the right to not read or consider your application. You will need to evidence you meet the requirements and explain why this you want this role.
