Purpose of the role:
The marketing coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the marketing and communications team, aligning work to the new WEA 2025 strategy.
The role holder will be responsible for supporting all offline marketing and the new WEA brand - committed to elevating the charity`s awareness in a competitive environment, and working closely with regional colleagues and the business development team to support successful delivery of the WEA`s KPIs.
Key areas of responsibility:
1.To support the head of marketing and the senior marketing officer to develop and deliver the brand/marketing strategy that effectively positions and promotes the WEA to achieve its key objectives - aligning to the new 2025 strategy. Working collaboratively with other specialist marketing and comms colleagues.
2.To support the national delivery of offline marketing campaigns, brand assets, print collateral, product copywriting, and partnership marketing activity that drives student enrolment and ROI from funded project marketing. Supporting organisational KPIs.
3.To act as a quality brand ambassador - ensuring the brand is being delivered nationwide and ensuring templates and materials are continuously developed with a practical focus within the backdrop of the way the WEA operates (learner and volunteers needs) to support regional and national delivery. To include supporting the senior marketing officer with the newly developed volunteer online print tool.
4.To support the delivery of all WEA print collateral including: packs for BDT; educational product packs (e.g. WEA pathways); impact report; volunteer and membership print marketing; awards; regional packs; brochure templates for regions; marketing collateral etc.
5.Supporting the concept and content of marketing materials for the WEA with a key focus of improving the quality of copywriting across the organisation - embracing and championing our tone of voice and the Plain English Campaign directive. A strong copywriter with responsibility for writing, editing and proofreading.
6.With the senior marketing officer - review and report on key metrics relating marketing performance and work to support improved performance.
7.Working closely with other members from the marketing team and other key internal stakeholders to support, inform and enhance new lead generation, retention and customer lifetime value initiatives.
8.Act as the single point of contact for regions and Scotland across the WEA and ensure the timely and effective implementation of their requirements across the marketing and communications team.
9.Responsibility for the marketing team`s tracker platform, image bank and general marketing admin.
10.Keep up to date with topical issues and best practice in marketing and communications.
11.Undertake such duties as reasonably requested by your manager.
