Job description

Were looking for a head of data who will not only lead, inspire and motivate the data team but that will use their strong communication and influencing skills to bring the whole organisation along on the journey as well and drive growth across fundraising, campaigning, volunteering, and services activities for this incredible health charity.

This role can be primarily based in either our Cardiff, Glasgow, London or Sheffield office. However, the hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

The Charity
A wonderful health charity supporting people all over the country, a well known and well loved brand. This charity have the opportunity and the desire to transform the way data is used at both within fundraising and services. They are aiming to drive supporter and service user experience, increase income, and organisational insight with the over-arching vision to create that all important single customer view.

The Role
This is an extremely exciting time to be the leader of the data team. The charity recently launched their new CRM system and are looking for an exceptional data leader to take them to the next level, who will develop and lead on the launch of a new organisation wide CRM strategy.

The role is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the data team and all data activity. They are looking for an expert in understanding, planning and developing an effective and adaptable database and data structure fit for the future, and to meet the ongoing data needs of the organisation, whilst also embedding wider standards of best practice across all data work.

The Candidate
Expert experience and understanding of best practice in database training
Demonstrable experience of business analysis, change and technical projects
Experience of complex project management, including leading complex data projects
Understanding or experience of Agile and other project/time management methodologies
High level understanding of the technical side of databases, with ideally technical skills in all or some of the following SQL; C#; data warehousing; SSIS
Understanding and appreciation of data analysis and insight and the value this can bring to marketing programmes Understanding of digital technologies, particularly where these interact with databases
Strong understanding of the charity fundraising data environment
