As the Senior member of a growing fundraising team, the majority of your time will be as a hands on fundraiser, focused on developing new and as yet largely untapped sources of funding,with a target of growing new income streams.
Charity Is a national charity that provides support to prisoners, people with convictions, and their families. We support people to make a fresh start, and minimise the harm that can be caused by imprisonment to people who have committed offences, to families and to communities.
Lead, manage and inspire the fundraising team
Increase annual charitable income from the team
Work with business Development colleagues and regional Heads of Services to develop regional plans to ensure fundraising, business development and service delivery strategies are aligned.
Your focus will be within the City of London including the City Livery companies, the legal sector, and from other opportunities including businesses in London, High Value/Major Donors, and the Big Lottery.
Achieve sustained growth in subsequent years, on the basis of targets to be agreed with the SLT.
Work closely with the chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Finance to monitor fundraising performance against budget and targets
Ensure the charity are achieving an appropriate mix of unrestricted and restricted income
Monitor restricted grants against expenditure and agree priorities, deadlines and planning time scales for applications and appeals.
A successful demonstrable track record of raising significant funds from companies, trusts and foundations.
Experience of developing action plans and budgets.
Experience of using and getting the best from a fundraising database.
Experience of one of more other types of fundraising activity (this might include individual giving, major donors, legacies, community fundraising and events)
Experience of successfully recruiting and managing staff.
