We are looking for a Head Of Fundraising with a solid background in trusts and foundations to grow this income stream and diversify further in the future.
We are working with an innovative, dynamic and ambitious charity who support youth throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will lead a small fundraising team (currently 1 person) and be responsible for all aspects of fundraising primarily prospecting, bid writing and managing existing relationships.
They will also work with our Head of Partnerships, feeding into our evolving corporate fundraising strategy.
Prospect future bids researching the wide range of trusts and foundations to identify givers that are aligned with the mission.
Write compelling bids, writing high quality and detailed bids to trusts and foundations in order to reach ambitious voluntary income targets.
Manage our existing supporters working alongside the CEO and Head of Partnerships you will manage, maintain and develop our portfolio of supporters.
This will also include engaging with trusts and foundations at networking events, calling campaigns, email campaigns and other creative ways to build an awareness of our work amongst key stakeholders.
Has a proven track record of success in a senior fundraising role.
Has proven expertise in trust & foundation prosecting, bid writing and stakeholder engagement and has excellent organisational skills to ensure that new and existing bids are submitted in a timely manner and that grant reporting is diligently adhered to.
They will feel confident engaging with senior stakeholders, be proactive in identifying opportunities and have strong relationship management skills. Is highly motivated to reach and exceed personal and team targets
Is an excellent relationship-builder persuasive, dynamic, diplomatic, and at ease interacting with senior stakeholders in a business environment
Is an exceptional communicator both written, in person and over the phone
Is a natural networker - alert to new partnership opportunities with the confidence to pursue them
