We are recruiting for a Part Time ( 21 hours ) Office Manager for an independent advocate for science and engineering , this is 12 month maternity cover.
Executive Assistant to the Executive Director; managing her diary and meetings, email monitoring, arranging travel and supporting additional projects when required
Office management; overseeing processes across HR and staffing, liaising with suppliers, estates, health and safety, compliance and insurance
Financial administration; payroll, invoicing, bank processes, monthly bookkeeping and supporting the financial administration of membership income
Oversight of annual financial cycle; preparing budgets, forecasts and statutory and financial returns, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Honorary Treasurer
Providing secretariat support to the Board of Trustees and its committees; organising meetings, preparing agendas and papers and minute taking at meetings
Ensuring organisational compliance with regulation e.g. HR, health and safety and data protection
First point of contact for external correspondence and queries
Supporting and enhancing the work of other staff members as part of a small team
Experience in PA, HR, finance and office administration
Proven experience of effective prioritisation, good time-management and meeting competing deadlines
Professional regard for the responsibility of holding and maintaining data and experience dealing with GDPR compliance
Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and diary systems
Graduate or equivalent professional experience
