Job description

This is an exciting time for an experienced Programme Funding officer to secure and steward five and six figure grants from trusts, foundations, the lottery and Government sources from existing donors for an inspiring childrens charity.

The Charity

A leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people.

The Role
Research trust and grant making bodies priorities and guidelines and match projects to funders; identify new funding opportunities, lead development / submission of tailored appeals and together with the senior programme funding officer lead development / submission of complex appeals in line with agreed processes for our UK programme.
Provide the level of assistance required by project owners / developers in services teams to develop a pipeline of projects for our UK programme for fundraising purposes.
Monitor the delivery and spend of funded projects, inform services and finance teams of key requirements including reporting, evaluation and monitoring, funder acknowledgements, and any other terms and conditions, ensuring these are delivered.
Manage funder relationships and provide excellent customer service to funders ensuring the terms and conditions of grants are met and high quality narrative and financial reports are submitted to funders on time.

The Candidate
Experience of trust and statutory grant fundraising with proven track record of securing five figure grant income against set targets.
Experience of developing and writing high quality trust or statutory funding proposals, and proven ability to work collaboratively with project/service owner and finance staff.
Experience of researching trusts, foundations, lottery and statutory funders and identifying fundraising opportunities to maintain and develop existing services and new funding dependent work.
Experience of building excellent relationships with external funding bodies, such as trusts, lottery and statutory providers, as well as with internal contacts at all levels.
