This is an exciting time to be joining the fundraising team with 2019 being a record fundraising year. In recent months we have worked with Charities Aid Foundation to develop a 5-year fundraising strategy and identify key areas for strategic investment for national childrens charity.
A national charity on a mission to spread the power of sport throughout schools and communities. The charity takes cricket to new places and uses it to ignite new passions, teach vital skills, unite
diverse groups, and educate young people.
Research, track and report on prospective donors from within and outside the current database, ensuring a stream of donors at differing gift levels to meet fundraising ambitions.
Support the Major Gifts Manager to segment individual donors and prospects to enable targeted event invitations for cultivation and stewardship.
Provide insight to facilitate the stewardship of current donors and warm prospects to the Major Gift Manager.
Build and maintain a rating system to gauge the capacity and propensity of potential donors to give as well as their affinity and engagement with the charity.
Develop a prospect research strategy, and manage its implementation by developing detailed plans, ensuring such a strategy fits with the overall goals and ambitions of our fundraising strategy.
Ensure data processing activities related to prospects are appropriately documented and in compliance with the data privacy laws (e.g. Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and PECR.)
Experience of prospect research and moves management within the charitable or academic sector .
Strong research and analytical skills.
Ability to collect and assess information rapidly, identifying key points and summarise as appropriate.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work proactively, managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines and priorities are well handled.
Knowledge and demonstrable experience of working with databases, preferably Raisers Edge.
Excellent IT skills including experience with Excel and Word.
