As a successful Senior Direct Marketing Officer (Acquisition) youll manage Direct Marketing Officers and be responsible for delivering campaigns across a range of channels and products including DRTV, door-drops, inserts, digital campaigns and our regular giving product for an inspiring health charity.
Provide advice and support to empower anybody experiencing a health problems and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of this issue.
Project manage the Direct Marketing acquisition programme, including briefing internal stakeholders and external agencies; implement, manage, monitor and evaluate campaigns with a strong focus on recruiting supporters that will maximise lifetime value at a low cost.
Working closely with our Data Team, Data Insight Analysis and the DM Donor Experience Manager to use insight to deliver a supporter led marketing approach to supporter acquisition as well as identifying and testing new audiences, marketing creative and channels.
Work closely with external agencies and internal stakeholders to design and develop digital and direct marketing campaigns, including creative development, media, data selection, print and digital advertising, as well as other communication materials, as required.
Manage and deliver agreed income targets and ensure regular monitoring and managing of income targets and expenditure. To proactively alert the Direct Marketing Manager if income and expenditure targets are different to those predicted.
Contribute to the annual planning and strategy cycle of the acquisition programme. Feeding in reports and recommendations to the Direct Marketing Manager and Head of Individual Giving and Donor Experience where required.
Work closely with the Senior Direct Marketing Officer (Retention) and the DM Donor Experience Manager as well as other teams to ensure that new supporters acquisition plans are communicated, planned and work cohesively with other supporter journeys to maximise lifetime supporter value.
Extensive and demonstrable Direct Marketing experience, especially in acquisition fundraising, including managing, implementing and evaluating activities across a wide range of channels and products.
Demonstrable experience of integrating and maximising digital fundraising opportunities into Direct Marketing plans.
Experience of using insight to test and develop new and different creative approaches across direct marketing audiences, channels and products.
Strong experience of monitoring and tracking budgets and meeting income targets, including forecasting, and regular reporting against budgets and targets.
Experience of evaluating activities and campaigns, writing reports summarising and analysing figures to make recommendations.
Proven experience of managing and working with third-party suppliers (e.g. agencies, printers, mailing houses).
