We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to help the very busy Special Events team in delivering five year events and celebrity strategy.
A leading national social welfare charity who provide a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
Work closely with the Special Events & Celebrity Engagement Manager to produce successful and engaging events.
Support all event logistics, including venue searching, registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials, and pre and post event evaluations.
Cultivate good working relationships with representatives of all relevant media outlets and key partners.
Manage email lists, including, but not limited to, media contacts, high profile supporters, venues and donors.
Work with printers and designers to help develop event invitations and event related print collateral.
Support the Special Events and Celebrity Engagement Manager in the strategy for growth of income generated from fundraising events over the next three years.
Assist the Special Events and Celebrity Manager in setting up event specific committees.
Work closely with colleagues across the charity to support celebrity and VIP engagement opportunities, and ensure that were profiling celebrity support in creative and engaging ways.
Experience of working in a fundraising events orientated environment.
Proven experience of working with agents, publicists and celebrities.
Experience of supporting bespoke events.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. (The role will involve interacting with a range of different people from clients to donors, celebrities, high profiled supporters, as well as staff at all levels of the organisation).
A determined and results-focused individual, with a track record of achieving fundraising targets.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity to achieve a desired outcome.
