Thanks to significant new funding TLC: Talk Listen, Change is growing and are looking for a Project Worker to deliver Make a Change in Trafford.
TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is a dynamic, leading relationships charity based in Greater Manchester.
Make a Change
Make a Change is a whole-community approach to domestic abuse perpetration, offering interventions for those using abusive behaviour in their intimate or previously intimate relationships, support for their partners and/or ex-partners, community outreach, and workforce development to help recognise and respond to domestic abuse perpetration effectively. The model is designed to fill a significant gap in current service provision, for situations where people know that domestic abuse is taking place, but where the behaviour or concerns have not yet met the threshold for a statutory / family court / criminal justice referral.
In this role you will directly manage a case load working directly with people who have been abusive to a partner. You will complete suitability assessments, deliver group and one to one work, liaise with survivor safety workers, reporting and where needed, advocacy work. You will also work closely with case workers from partner organisations to ensure the safety of survivors and children throughout the course of the intervention. The role also includes extending the impact of the project through outreach, training, workshops and the provision of specialist advice to other external stakeholders.
You will have direct experience of working with vulnerable service users and experience of working within a public protection/safeguarding multi-agency setting. You will also have experience of managing Safeguarding issues. Above all you will be comfortable with conflict management, and you’ll bring a positive, solution focused attitude.
We want you to feel empowered to bring your best to this role, so we encourage flexible working around core hours. We offer an annual continuous Professional Development allowance, generous annual leave entitlement and Birthday leave.
Funding secured will enable TLC: Talk, Listen Change to grow our work with perpetrators of domestic abuse, their partners, and families. Over the coming twelve months, we are expanding existing programmes and developing several new ones, reaching considerably more people than we ever have before, and pioneering new approaches in this crucial area of work. This is a pivotal time for TLC: Talk Listen Change and we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced, engaged and highly motivated people to join our rapidly expanding team.
We aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths. We seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest pool, reflecting the diverse range of people we support.
We want to make our recruitment processes accessible to everyone, so if there is any way that we can support you to be the best you can be, please contact us.
