Hours 37.5 hours worked over 43 weeks or 52 weeks (full time and part time hours considered)

Timeframe Two positions - One position to start September and the other November 2022
Salary £31,525.69 (pro-rated to 43 working weeks) or £32,992.00 (52 working weeks) - based on 37.5 hours worked
Location Hybrid working – a combination of home working, the Together Trust Centre Cheadle, Cheshire and occasional young people home visits.

We are in a significant period of growth for the Trust’s clinical services. We work across the whole spectrum of education settings across the north west, alongside providing specialist input to Trust services more broadly, i.e. residential and community.
We are looking to recruit two Specialist Sleep Practitioner’s for a 12 month contract covering Maternity Leave to join our team of Speech & Language Therapists; Occupational Therapists; Specialist Teachers; PBS Practitioners; Applied Psychology and Sleep Practitioners.
The Together for Families Sleep Clinic services provide personalised advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with sleep difficulties across all age and ability ranges and specialises in helping those with autism and complex communication needs.
Key responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;
- Manage a case load of individual family referrals.
- Assess the child’s sleep problem to determine its nature and any contributing factors.
- Work with families to develop a sleep plan encouraging the child or young person to develop positive sleep habits.
- Provide advice and support to parents who are implementing a sleep programme.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of sleep clinics and workshops.
- Maintain high clinical standards and contribute to quality improvement across the Therapy & Specialist Support Service (TSS) Service in line with the needs of the service and evidence-based practice.
Do you have a recognised professional qualification to degree level?
We are looking for two Specialist Sleep Practitioner’s with experience of working with children with complex needs including autism and ADHD and successful practice in working with parents and families.
Are you experienced working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and within a young person’s home setting?
Can you manage a case load including written case notes and reports as well as delivering training and/or workshops to parents and/or professionals?
Do you have a knowledge and understanding at both theoretical and practical levels of current perspectives on autism and SEN along with knowledge of specific approaches to working with people with autism, both structured and unstructured, e.g. TEACCH, PECS, Social Stories?
Can you apply knowledge of autism to plan intervention programmes along with a strong commitment to working co-operative with parents?
