Job description

An Exciting and flexible opportunity to be part of a great team.  We provide psychological support for children with brain tumours and their families.  Our work currently covers the East of England and the North East and we are planning on opening three more centres over the next five year.

Flexibile working is available to the right candidate.

SUMMARY

Planning digital marketing campaigns, including we, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising

Maintaining our social media presence across all digital channels

Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing and campaigns

Oversight and management CRM and its continuing development needs

Website administration

Monthly and targeted group newsletters

Training and induction of new staff on CRM

 

RESPONSIBILITES

Plan, execute and schedule all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing, email social media and display advertising campaigns.

Design, build and maintain our social media presence

Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns

Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

Collaboration with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience

Collaboration with internal teams for CRM, including weekly duplicate checks, understanding all aspects, as well as providing team ‘Super User’ support and internal training

Creating and distributing newsletters (support will be given for content)

Responding to colleagues on their digital and promotion needs

 

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple digital channels and implementing and managing campaigns.  This role will support growth in digital across all income streams from individual giving to events and be responsible for providing training and strategic advice to various teams.  The post holder will be responsible for digital innovation, researching and implementing new opportunities.

 

We have a new database with Donorfy and the successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of this data.  No previous experience of Donorfy is required, however good IT and technical skills are required to ensure quick uptake of this.

 

NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Digital fundraisers arguably face more new opportunities than other fundraisers.  There are a remarkable variety of online fundraising channels and methods on offer, with many more being announced.  Digital fundraisers need to assess these opportunities and select and test the small number that look like they might meet the needs of their charity.

They will also likely monitor the digital activities of their peers and competitor charities.  The online fundraising sector sees new developments almost weekly.  While it is essential to focus on reliable sources of income, digital fundraisers need to be able to react quickly to genuine opportunities and emulate successes they come across.

SOCIAL MEDIA

After initially focusing on the web and email, a great deal of online fundraising now focuses on the opportunities presented by social media sites and tools like FACEBOOK, TWITTER and YOUTUBE.  A digital fundraiser must have good experience of using some of these channels, and understand how they can enhance a charity’s fundraising and other marketing actiivites.
