Live Well Leeds Mental Health Support Coordinator
Starting at £21,589 per annum – NJC Scale Points 12 – 17
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: This role is fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of being extended

The aim of the Live Well Leeds service is to provide flexible and practical support to people (aged 18+) within the Leeds Metropolitan District. The service has been commissioned by Leeds City Council Adult Social Care for 5 years. The contract is delivered by a Strategic Partnership (comprising Touchstone as the lead, Community Links and Leeds Mind) and a Delivery Network (comprising of 16 different voluntary sector partners).

The service will be easy for diverse people to access, navigate and receive high quality support for everyone to improve and maintain their mental health.

Live Well Leeds offers a seven day service, including evenings and weekends according to community/individual needs and wishes.

About the role

You will work as part of the Live Well Leeds partnership to recognise individual service users’ strengths and assets, and then provide support to maintain and improve mental health.

You will provide flexible, supportive, caring and responsive interventions to and with service users.  This will involve working one-to-one, facilitating groups, and enabling peers/volunteers to deliver group support. 

You need to have substantial experience of working with people with mental health needs, a good knowledge of mental health interventions and their effectiveness and experience of building and maintaining positive links with a wide range of services and stakeholders.
