Job description

Touchstone (registered charity No. 1012053) is a leading voluntary sector agency providing high quality services to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.

Title: South Asian Engagement Worker
Salary: starting at £24,982 pa/pro rata, NJC Scale Points 18 – 22

Contracts Available:
1x 17 hours per week (South Yorkshire)
1x 18.5 hours per week (West Yorkshire)

These roles are fixed term up until March 2022, with the possibility of extension

You will actively engage service users from the South Asian population, who have offended and provide effective support to reduce the risk of people reoffending through implementing appropriate interventions, to change offending behaviours through group and one to one interventions.

The successful candidate will have experience in successfully working in the communities to support rehabilitation of offenders, and effectively engaging and working with people with challenging behaviour or complex needs. You will be used to working unsupervised or as part of a team to meet individual/service priorities.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
