Location: Kirklees
Salary: NJC Scale Points 23 – 25, starting at £27,741 pa / pro rata
Hours: 22 hours per week

This role is fixed term up to May 2024, with the possibility of extension

The Well-bean Crisis Café in Kirklees is a Touchstone service, commissioned by the NHS.

The aim of the Well Bean Crisis Cafes is to divert people who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other crisis services in Kirklees.

The Crisis Café is open 7 evenings a week between the hours of 6pm & 12am.

The service provides a non-clinical alternative to A&E for adults in crisis, offering person-centred support in a non-clinical setting.

The post holder will provide leadership to the Well-bean Cafe team, including managing the day-to-day delivery of the service and supporting people in acute distress, including one to one support, support planning and liaising with local services.

The post holder will work 5pm to 1am 2 nights per week. The service will run between the hours of 6.00pm – 12:00am, with additional office/administration hours as required.

The post requires evening, weekend, and bank holiday work.

We are looking to recruit people with personal experience of mental distress and substantial experience of supporting people in crisis, including working with people at risk of suicide and self-harm and supporting people from BME and LGBT communities.

It would be expected that staff recruited in Kirklees would need to be flexible in covering both Huddersfield & Dewsbury sites to cover staff absences.

CLOSING DATE: 26 January 2022

Interviews will be held on: 03 February 2022
