Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to join a busy, dynamic and engaging team working in Newham. Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community and move towards greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. Support Worker will give practical support to help people maintain their tenancy, stay well, exercise choice and control in their care and lives and participate in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.

The service includes four sites and form a mini pathway of higher, medium and move on support accommodation.

The shift pattern for this role consists of three shift timings at: 9.00 - 17.00, 12.00 - 20.00 and 14.00 - 22.00. This includes weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll do:

- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Senior Support Worker/Team Leader/ Contract Manager. Creatively working to engage with customers.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions. Promote positive risk taking.
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers.
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
- Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community.

The Active Wellbeing programme (AW)

The Active Wellbeing programme is a specialist mental health exercise referral programme. This programme is designed to engage and promote health and wellbeing to people diagnosed with a severe mental illness (SMI). The programme involves delivering a 10 week, 1:1 personal training programme to clients with severe mental health illnesses (SMI) which can include: Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Severe Clinical Depression.  

The Active Wellbeing programme – Learning Disabilities (AW)

The Active Wellbeing programme is expanding to work with adults with learning disabilities who also have a long and enduring mental health condition. The programme LD involves delivering a 10 week, 1:1 personal training programme to clients with long and enduring mental health conditions and individuals with learning disabilities.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a weekly physical activity session for each client considering safety and progression with each of the 10 sessions. 
• Monitor clients exercise intensity, type, and ability to ensure clients are exercising safely.
• Monitoring clients mental wellbeing during sessions to ensure safety and communicating any concerns to the line manager.
• Responsible for arranging weekly sessions with clients (and in some cases carers alongside)
• High level of communication between instructor and client (in some cases carers or support workers) to confirm session times and locations.
• High level of communication between instructor and line manager to report any concerns with a clients mental and physical wellbeing during sessions.
• Provide motivation and encouragement for clients to engage in sessions and stay engaged in their programme. 
• Responsible for the setup of equipment for outdoor or online sessions.
• Responsible with checking in and out of sessions with the admin team to ensure safety of both instructor and client. 
• Responsible for checking the safety of equipment. If equipment is faulty and needs to be replaced, responsible for communicating this with the Active Wellbeing programme coordinator. 
• Responsible for administering first aid in the event of an accident and ensuring that safety requirements are met in all areas.

You will be a qualified solicitor (English law) with 2+ years PQE,
To be successful, you'll need:

• A combination of commercial and contract law experience gained in-house or in a pro-active private practice environment

• To display high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality at all times; and

What will you be doing?

As a Service Manager at Hft, you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best life possible. The purpose of the role is to assist the Regional Service Manager by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the registered service. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising

About you

About the role
