I'm working with an exciting and unique industry led education academy who are looking to recruit a permanent HR Officer to join their growing HR team. The job will be supporting the Head of HR in a wide range of important HR tasks.
The Academy has strong links to the fashion and retail world and are both public and privately funded. They offer diploma, degree and short courses and work closely with over a 120 fashion brands. Currently they have over 1900 students and that's expecting to increase next year.
The culture of the organisation is friendly and creative which promotes applicants to develop and grow in their roles. The HR Officer will certainly have scope to do the same. The HR team is currently a team of four. This role would suit someone from the arts or higher education sector.
The main duties of the role are to work on ER cases and provide first and second line support. The monthly payroll is outsourced but the HR Officer will help ensure everything is correct. The employee lifecycle is also a fundamental part of the job. Finally, you'll be helping the Head of HR implement the new HR strategy which is a very exciting part of the role.
What my clients looking for is someone with HR Officer experience who wants exposure to senior HR duties. They need someone who can work independently at times and who's confident at carrying out tasks. Furthermore, you'll need excellent writing skills along with communication skills as you'll be building and sustaining vital relationships across the organisation.
